Rhode Island Laughs
Process
I started by sketching out a layout of elements such as navigation and content positioning. I focused on making sure that the viewer was able to learn about Joe, how to hire him and how to subscribe to his newsletter.
After sketching, I created a mockup in Photoshop. I decided to use a dark blue/black color scheme because psychologically black represents professionalism and blue represents creativity. I also included a small design for the background to add a little pizzazz to his website.
Then, I started coding and Joe provided the content to put on the website. I made sure the code was W3C compliant and valid, and the content was organized properly.
Lastly, I sent a .zip file with the website's code to him.
